Jesus Loves You

Everyone wants to feel that they belong. They want to feel loved, valued and validated. God created humans in His image. He loves His creation, and He desires that all would make a decision to become His children, through faith in Christ Jesus.

The world will tell you that Christians are exclusive, hateful, and not accepting of people. But it couldn’t be more opposite than that. God is the one who set the standard. He created the world. He created human beings.

Everyone is welcome to join God’s family. Don’t let anyone deceive you. God doesn’t want to make you miserable. In Him, you’ll find fullness of joy. In Him, you’ll discover who you were created to be. He has a great plan and will for your life.

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence, there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. – Psalm 16:11 (ESV)

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. – John 10:10 (NKJV)

We’re all searching for happiness, contentment, and satisfaction. Many times, we look to all the wrong places to find it. There’s a void that can only be filled by the love of God the Father.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. – John 3:16 (NIV)

Our true identity is in Christ. That’s where we have real fulfilment. Things of this world perish, but Jesus is forever. This is what the Bible says about your identity:

I am made the image of God. “God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” – Genesis 1:27 (ESV)

And that’s only the beginning. When you make a decision to follow Christ, there is a whole new world that opens up to you.

I am a child of God. “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” – Galatians 3:26 (KJB)

I am born again. “Since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God.” – 1 Peter 1:23 (ESV)

I am a new creation. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)

I am no longer a slave to sin. “For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.” – Romans 6:6 (NIV)

I am free. “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” – John 8:36 (NIV)

I am God’s masterpiece. “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” – Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

I am redeemed. “In Him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.” – Ephesians 1:7 (NKJV)

You don’t have to struggle with your identity. You don’t have to search for meaning, or search for acceptance. God says to come as you are, and He will wash away your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

You’re not alone. God loves you, and Jesus died for you!

Salvation is a free gift. All it takes is the ABC’s: Admit you’re a sinner. Believe that Jesus is Lord, and that God raised him from the dead. Confess of your sins, and confess that Jesus is now the Lord and saviour of your life.

Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. – Acts 3:19-20 (NKJV)

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. – Romans 10:9 (NIV)

If there has never been a time in your life where you remember repenting of your sin and committing to Jesus, or, if you once did and you have since turned away from the Lord, I encourage you to pray the following prayer, out loud, with faith in your heart:

Father, I thank you for sending Your son to set me free. I accept Jesus as my Lord and savior. I believe in my heart that he rose from the dead. I confess of my sin and repent of all my wrongdoing. I will follow Jesus all the days of my life. Thank you that now I am saved. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
